Alexandra Bowman is a freelance political cartoonist, illustrator, and satirist from Washington, D.C. She serves as the Editorial Political Cartoonist for The Lincoln Project and environmental news platform Our Daily Planet, and is the youngest current member of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. Alex is also the creator of The Hilltop Show, a political comedy web series and talk show based at Georgetown University, with a viewership and staff made up of young people from across the United States. The Show seeks to discuss current events from the perspective of young people growing up in a profoundly turbulent political time.
At a time characterized by polarization and distrust, the need for approaches that humanize others through narrative and empathy has never been greater. The Lab is dependent on outside funding in order to make our work possible.
