As a Fellow, you will have the unique opportunity to attend events beyond Georgetown’s campus with special behind-the-scenes and post-show discussions, participate in exclusive workshops with artists from all over the world, contribute to original Lab projects, and so much more.

Announcing the Fourth Cohort of Global Fellows

The ten new Fellows, selected from a diverse and expansive pool of applicants from 44 countries, 12 distinct regions, and 6 continents, use performance to address the most pressing issues of their lives and in the world. Funded by The Mellon Foundation, this 18-month global residency connects and supports exceptionally promising artists and change-makers from around the world who embody the Lab’s mission of “harnessing the power of performance to humanize global politics.” The Fourth cohort joins the Lab's community of Global Fellows, expanding a profoundly inspiring ecosystem of rising global leaders.

Honoring Jan Karski's Legacy

Members of our Lab team Derek Goldman (Lab Artistic and Executive Director, co-writer and director Remember This: The Lesson of Jan Karski); David Strathairn (originating Jan Karski in RT); and Clark Young (co-writer, RT) received the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland as part of a celebration of the 110th birth anniversary of Jan Karski held at the Residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland on June 17, 2024.

Here I Am Spotlight | How Do the Arts Play a Role in Social Justice?

Here I Am was featured in a Georgetown University article highlighting how members of the Georgetown University community have employed the arts to spark change on campus.

The Lab humanizes global politics through performance. We cultivate a distinctive global community of collaborators that includes students, emerging and established artists, educators, policy leaders, and activists. Our work harnesses narrative, memory, and acts of witnessing with the aim of sparking transformation and change.
