Catherine Hiemstra is an undergraduate student at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, pursuing a major in International Politics and a minor in French. Originally from Michigan, Catherine has established herself as a prominent student leader and administrator within the Georgetown community.
She currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Georgetown International Relations Association, Inc. (GIRA), where she oversees major organizational initiatives and international relations programming. In addition to her executive leadership, she contributes to campus life as an Administrative Assistant for the Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics, and works with the university’s student athletic equipment team. Her previous leadership includes serving as Philanthropy Director for the North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN), where she spearheaded fundraising efforts for global food security programs.
