My name is Yves. I am a junior in the College majoring in Black Studies. I love to dance, act and I also write poetry sometimes. I have been dancing since I was 10 years old. Art for me is a means to convey little moments in my life, whether happy or sad, hopeless or faithful moments, stories that contribute contextualizing the world in my point of view.
I firmly believe that art can be transformative and reach our most inner selves.
At a time characterized by polarization and distrust, the need for approaches that humanize others through narrative and empathy has never been greater. The Lab is dependent on outside funding in order to make our work possible.
