Iman Fadlalla is a sophomore in the SFS majoring in Culture and Politics with a certificate in African Studies. Born and raised in Texas, Iman’s journey in the performing arts began in childhood, when a love for the stage was ignited. This early passion has shaped her experiences and contributions to the world of theatre and modeling. At Georgetown, Iman is an active member of the Black Theatre Ensemble, having performed in a BTE production, and the African Society of Georgetown, fostering a deeper connection with African cultures. Iman has also modeled in two university shows: Diamanté and ABISSA, where she has brought life to the creative visions of various Black and African fashion designers. Through her involvement in this fellowship, Iman desires to fuse her two great passions: human rights and the arts. She wishes to create a platform for marginalized voices, enabling them to share their unique identities, stories, and perspectives. By exploring the intersection of human rights and the arts, she aspires to spotlight the stories of those often unheard, shedding light on the issues that matter most.
