Hoda Al-Haddad is an M.A. candidate in the Arab studies program at Georgetown University. She is currently interested in the use of art in social movements, development of education, post-colonial and identity studies, post-conflict reconstruction, and cultural diplomacy. Hoda graduated from St. Olaf College in 2018 with Political Science and Economics degrees. In college, Hoda found her passion for immigrant theatre and since then she has been interested in writing and creating her own plays. She takes her inspiration from her background as a Yemeni in the US and her family’s experiences. Hoda is hoping to work in future with different organizations to promote more Arabic culture and immigrant community theatre within the US.
