Flynn Woodring is a Senior in the College of Arts and Sciences double majoring in Economics and English with a minor in Theater and Performance Studies. Her primary interests lie in the world of both dramaturgical research and in storytelling as a means to express the roots of human experience. At The Lab she hopes to develop her ability to write for performance with a strong focus on the incorporation of humor in the telling of these stories, and is excited to experience a wide range of theater and performance art in D.C that both shapes and responds to the times we currently live in.
At a time characterized by polarization and distrust, the need for approaches that humanize others through narrative and empathy has never been greater. The Lab is dependent on outside funding in order to make our work possible.
