Dr. Andrii Bondarenko – playwright, journalist, culturologist, PhD in Philosophy. Co-founder of Playwrights Theatre in Kyiv. Participant of the Worldwide Ukrainian Play Readings Project curated by John Freedman. Currently works as dramaturgist at Lviv PuppetTheatre (Ukraine). Author of numerous plays which were shortlisted at the main Ukrainian Drama festivals. Several plays were staged at theatres of Lviv, Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia. Director of short movie “Night with Natalia” (2017) – participant of the film festivals in Kyiv and Prague.
At a time characterized by polarization and distrust, the need for approaches that humanize others through narrative and empathy has never been greater. The Lab is dependent on outside funding in order to make our work possible.
