Ruihan Xia, graduated from Parsons School of Design with a B.F.A. in Design & Technology and is currently pursuing further graduate studies in Learning, Design & Technology at Georgetown University. As an emerging artist and a young visual and instructional designer, Ruihan is dedicated to breaking through the confines of traditional media and blurring the boundaries between art and design. Ruihan’s work often centers on expressing themes of feminism, decentralization, decolonization, avant-gardism, and speculative design thinking. Through multi-media visual communication, she provokes new contemplations among viewers on these pertinent issues.
At a time characterized by polarization and distrust, the need for approaches that humanize others through narrative and empathy has never been greater. The Lab is dependent on outside funding in order to make our work possible.
