The Great Work Begins: Revisiting Angels in America During a Pandemic

This special program of performance and discussion combines scenes performed by leading professional actors from Tony Kushner’s Pulitzer Prize-winning two-part epic play Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes with insights from experts in the medical, political, and artist communities on the legacy and continued resonance of the play’s portrayal of the AIDS epidemic in the context of the current moment. Participants include celebrated actors Tom Story, Sarah Marshall, Mitchell Hebert, Alexander Strain and others. 

A featured panel during the event hosts Dr. Mark Dybul (MD), Dr. Deliya Wesley (PhD), Bassam Sidiki (Col’16), and Dr. Leon Lai (MD).
