Alyssa is in her fourth year of her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University, studying Global Health with a minor in Theology in the School of Nursing and Health Studies. Her passion for politics and performance stems back to her time in high school at the Orange County School of the Arts where she studied acting and directing, and directed an adaptation of Eve Ensler’s Emotional Creature. In the summer of 2019 she received a funding from Georgetown’s Social Innovation and Public Service Fund to workshop social justice theatre in high schools in Soweto, South Africa. This experience then led her to the Lab where she now works as an Administrative Assistant. Alyssa is most excited to combine her interests in global health, politics, and performance in upcoming Lab projects. Outside of working at the Lab, on campus, Alyssa serves on the board of the Georgetown University Farmers’ Market, introduces people to campus through the Blue & Gray Tour Guide Society, and competes with the Model United Nations Team.
